The Bird
I just got out the shower and was drying myself with a towel when I heard a bird chirping. My gut reaction was to check this bird out and get a snapshot. With the spike of adrenalin, I rushed down the stairs armed with my camera and stepped out to the backyard. I crouched down low like a lion ready to take its prey and moved closer to my subject, the bird. I knew I had to move closer due my lens limited focal lenght before the subject takes a flight or fight reaction. So I took s series of shots......all of them crappy! hahaha but hey the experience was well worth it.
I'm not an ornithologist but my closest guess as to the identification of this avian friend is American Robin. You are free to agree or disagree.......check it out here>>

I stumbled on a gallery of Philippine Wild Birds here>> http://www.pbase.com/liquidstone/root .
Romy Ocon, the Phillipine Wild Avian Photographer, certainly deserves
all the accolades for putting up this magnificent gallery.

D40
Photography is one hobby I placed in the back burner for years. I could say that I've finally graduated from the old slr 35 mm film to a point and shooter digital to digital-slr. The nikon D40 kit comes with a 18 to 55 mm f/3.5-5.6 nikkor zoom lens. I've always enjoyed taking photographs of people, places and events.

Parallel Universe
That is the theme for my daughter's fashion collection presented last night at Woodbury University as a pre-requite for graduation for BS in FineArts major in Fashion Design. This was some sort of a thesis presented before a panel of nine judges from the various fields of the fashion industry. Rina was one of the 25 senior fashion design students who succesfully presented her collection and will be marching for graduation this spring.

The Clutter Princess
I've been evicted and forcefully relocated from my home office by my soon to be college bound daughter to the dining room area.
That's my home office claimed and turned upside down by my daughter. I can't believe that i'm actually going to miss all the clutter, mess and the cleaning up after in a few months!
