Rick,
The top is too far for me to ID. The flying bird is a Northern Mockingbird, and the last photo is a House Sparrow.
Birders usually have a life list, which is basically a list of all the birds one has seen in one's lifetime. The first time you see a new bird (one you have not seen before) is called a "lifer"
birdwatching again
wish to do the same but i need a telephoto lens...my kitlens just won't cut it :(
bob,
thanks again for the IDs.....that house sparrow is similar to our "maya" back home ?
i've got a long way to go as far as "lifers" are concerned.
salamat!
tito,
i was fortunate enough to get a discontinued model of 70-300mm nikkor at a local camera shop. it's all manual mode which is ok by me. the 300mm might be a little challenging for shooting small birds....but if you can get close enough before your subject flies off, it's ok.
